Aaron Footman III, MA, LCPC

I help compassionate, high-achieving people heal from burnout, rebuild trust, and rediscover joy.

I’m Aaron Footman, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland and Washington, D.C., with more than 10 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families move from surviving to truly thriving. My passion is supporting those who are used to being the strong ones—the caretakers, leaders, and helpers who pour into others but often forget to refill their own cups. As someone who understands what it’s like to carry the weight of others’ needs, I’m passionate about helping people find balance and a sense of belonging.

With a professional background in conflict resolution, I bring a calm, grounded presence to therapy. I’m trained to listen deeply, remain neutral, and help you navigate emotional and relational conflicts with clarity and compassion—both within yourself and in your relationships.

I provide an affirming, inclusive space for clients from all backgrounds and beliefs. I specialize in trauma recovery, attachment wounds, co-dependency, depression, addiction, and relationship distress (for both heterosexual and same-sex couples). Whether you’re rebuilding trust, rediscovering purpose, or learning to love yourself again, we’ll work together to uncover the patterns that hold you back and gently rewrite them with intention and care.

I integrate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples rebuild connection, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to strengthen emotional balance, and trauma-informed practices to support lasting, meaningful change.

Together, we’ll clear the path between you and your peace. Healing opens the doorway to transformation—where the pain that once held you back becomes the foundation for deeper purpose, connection, and joy.
