Fees & Payment
Our fees are set in line with the guidelines of the American Counseling Association (ACA) Incorporated. Please contact us for details about our specific rates.
We accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, CareFirst, Cigna, United and all major credit cards for payment, which can be made easily and securely through the client portal. Payment is due at the end of each session unless otherwise arranged.
Insurance
Every health plan is unique, so we recommend checking with your provider to confirm your coverage. Helpful questions to ask:
Does my plan cover mental health services?
Do I need a referral from my family doctor?
Is there a deductible I must pay first?
How many sessions per year are covered?
What portion of each session fee will be reimbursed?
Confidentiality
Your privacy is very important to us. In general, U.S. law protects the confidentiality of everything you share in therapy. Information is only released with your permission, except in rare cases where disclosure is required by law (e.g., risk of harm to self or others, child protection concerns, or a court order). A full explanation of these limits is provided at intake, so you always know what to expect.
Privacy
We treat all personal information with care and respect. This includes identifying details (e.g., age, address), health history, and personal views. We collect information only as needed to provide high-quality care, and you’ll receive a copy of our full privacy policy during intake.
Social Media & Email
To protect your privacy and maintain clear therapeutic boundaries, we do not connect with clients on social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter.
Email may be used for booking and scheduling only. Because email is not fully secure, please avoid sharing therapy content through email. Any emails sent to or from your clinician become part of your confidential file.
