About Bring Out the Joy

Hi, I’m Aaron Footman III, LCPC, Founder of Bring Out the Joy Counseling Services.

I created Bring Out the Joy as a sanctuary for healing, growth, and transformation—a place where faith and therapy coexist, and your whole self is embraced. Here, every part of your story is welcome, and evidence-informed care supports your journey toward wholeness.

Many clients arrive at this space carrying invisible weight—doing their best to hold everything together while feeling a quiet ache for something more whole, more grounded, more joyful.

If you find yourself:

  • Compassionate and driven—but emotionally exhausted from carrying others’ burdens

  • Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected from your sense of joy and purpose

  • Struggling with strained family relationships, childhood trauma, or attachment wounds

  • Longing for a faith-aware space where you don’t have to choose between spirituality and emotional well-being

Therapy offers the opportunity to heal emotional disconnection, rebuild trust, and create lasting change through faith-integrated, trauma-informed, and emotionally focused approaches.

What makes Bring Out the Joy unique is its commitment to honoring both your spiritual and emotional life, cultivating safety and connection, and helping you move from survival toward authentic joy.

Whatever you bring, you are fully seen, deeply valued, and wholly accepted. Your journey toward wholeness and joy begins with one small, brave step.
